five current favourites

I have so many new things i’m loving at the moment and I feel like since I’ve been working on downsizing my stash that a few oldie but goodie gems are sure to make an appearance in a favourites post soon.

Here are five of the best at the moment!

1. Dettol Profresh Peach Burst Shower Gel RRP $6.49AUD – Shower gels are something i’m never loyal with and just throw in whatever scent i’m feeling (or is on special) when I’m doing the weekly shop. This shower gel however has been thrown into the trolley twice in a row (unheard of). This is such a fresh peach scent that stays on the skin. It does as it says and cleans well, but the scent (drooooooooool).

2. Models Prefer Soft Touch Mineral Powder in Soft Focus RRP $16.99AUD – I’ve raved about this powder ever since I first got it. I’ve used this everyday since I purchased it and I’ve finally hit pan! I don’t own the Hourlgass Ambient Lighting Powders but this is meant to be a good dupe; for me it’s just a great light finishing powder that adds a bit of extra glow to my pretty dull/dehydrated complexion. I never find that this makes me look cakey and in saying that i’m not sure it’d be enough of a finishing powder for those with oilier skin types. However I love it and will definitely be buying another when this baby runs out.

3. L’Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush RRP $19.95AUD – Okay so firstly let me apologize because this shade is not available in Australia, I picked it up on my trip to the US earlier this year. Why it isn’t available here I don’t know because it’s seriously stunning! This is a copper shade that is so metallic it almost looks wet on the eye. I’ve been wearing it with a warm matte brown shade buffed into the crease, this on the lid, a bit of brown pencil liner smudged into my lashes, mascara and done! If you can get your hands on this particular shade and you like warm coppery colours, do it!

4. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed RRP $36AUD – This shade has been on my wishlist for the longest time, I remember seeing Emma talk about it on her blog quite a few times and since then it’s been a must buy. It’s a dusty rose shade that really works with any eye/lip combo you have going, it’s the no-brainer shade. A little pricey for a blush but a little goes a long way with these.

5. Essence I love Nude Eyeshadow in Sweet Like Chocolate RRP $5.10AUD – This is such a pretty warm shade (can you see a trend here?) it has a slight shimmer to it, but it’s very very slight. I’ve been using this in my crease for the look I mentioned above.

Oh July, you went by way too quickly. I didn’t use a whole lot of new and noteworthy things the past month. However, if you’d like to have a little peek at what I did enjoy through the month of July, watch my video above (also like, subscribe etc just the usual admin)

I must say, August is shaping up to be a far more superior month for favourites! I’m looking forward to sharing!

This was uploaded to YouTube awhile ago but I thought i’d also do a little matching blog post as well! Here are the things I was loving in January –

Nature’s Way Multi-Vitamin – VitaGummies – RRP $22.95AUD
I hate swallowing tablets and have you seen the size of regular multi vitamins? Nah Uh! These are like a little treat twice a day and are beneficial for you. I’ll be honest the after taste is freakin rancid but I can deal.
MAC Creme Blush (Now known as Cremeblend) – Ladyblush – RRP $41.00AUD
This is an old favourite of mine and the old formula. I haven’t tried the new ones to see if they are any different but I love this! However for a cheaper option check out the NYX Cream Blushes, for the price they are amaaaaaze.
Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder – Natural – RRP $11.40AUD
Go buy this now! This stuff is an absolute bargain and gives the most natural finish. It also has a little coverage so I find it nice over my tinted moisturisers/BB creams I wear on weekends. It also photographs well (must for any beauty blogger). This has been likened as a dupe for the MAC Studio Fix powder, I used to use MAC Mineralize Skin Finish and thought that was the but this baby is my new holy grail.
OPI Nail Lacquer – Samoan Sand – RRP $19.95AUD
I never thought i’d be into nude polishes, but after Chelle recommend this to me I feel I might sway towards more nudes. Looks amazing on my pale skin and is such a nice base for gradient nails/nail features etc.
Urban Decay Naked 2 – Tease – Unavailable in Australia but you can purchase from
I don’t really need to say much because most people own this palette. I’m loving Tease at the moment in my crease, it’s such a gorgeous taupe that leans towards purple and brings out my blue eyes.
Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids – RRP $16.95AUD
You might want to check out my review and then go and try these. Since then I’ve also managed to pick up another 2 colours (hooked!). I’ll post swatches etc on here soon because I know these are going to be popular lippies, I want them all!!
Too Faced Foil Liner – Black Beauty – (I don’t think this is available in Australia anymore 🙁 )
This is my go-to waterline liner, it stays put and is a very black black. I’ve been lining my upper waterline and the difference it makes to my eyes is amazing. I do want to try the Urban Decay liner in Perversion so once this one goes to the beauty box in the sky i’ll try that next.
Face of Australia Face Base Primer – RRP $11.95AUD
I’ve been getting into primers again of late and have found this really moisturises my dry skin and helps my foundation glide on smoothly. This is always a staple in my makeup collection and I think will be forever (unless they change the formula and it’s shit).
Royal & Langnickel Green Line Powder Brush*
I only recently cracked open my set of green line brushes from ABBW… yeah over a year later! I can’t wait to try the others because this powder brush is perfection. I use it to apply my Fresh & Flawless powder.
Also feel free to check out my video below for a visual of me talking about the same thing!
Hope you’ve enjoyed my January favourites, I’m really going to try and do these monthly as I am a fan of reading/watching them myself.
What did you love last month? Anything I should try for February? (even though it’s halfway over!)

*products marked with a * were provided for my consideration. I am always honest in my reviews.

What a cutie! Not me, my dog 🙂 She’s one of my every month favourites but watch above to see what I loved during the month of September!
If you don’t want to watch the video, no biggie some people just aren’t watchers. Here’s what I loved in September in point form. I’ll also try and add links of where to buy them if I can find them.
However, if you are a viewer I’d love it a bunch if you could Subscibe! to my YouTube channel
The Goods –
– Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Ultra Foam Cleanser (RRP $13.99AUD) – This came as part of a subscription box, being an avid user of the Deep Clean Cream Cleanser I was excited to try this. My skin feels super clean after using this, however when my skin is super dry I steer clear. Click to Buy!

– Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate 30ml (RRP $20.00AUD) – Adore this! I first heard about these while watching Pixiwoo on YouTube and always mean to get it at IMATS etc. This is the boost my skin needs when it’s super dehydrated and I want my foundation to go on smoothly. Click to Buy!
– NP Set Brightening Pre Foundation Primer* (RRP $33.00AUD) – It’s a crime not to prime, as the man himself says! This primer smooths out my skin ready for the foundation i’m slapping on afterwards. It feels nice and does the job, don’t know about the brightening properties though. There is a calming one as well I think I might give a go next. Click to Buy!
– Korres Lip Butter in Quince (RRP $18.95AUD) – This is the perfect everyday, everywhere shade. I sometimes wear this in place of lipstick. It’s moisturising but the colour is just beautiful and would suit most skin tones. Click to Buy!
– Marc Jacobs Dot Perfume (RRP 50ml/$120.00 – 100ml/$160.00AUD) – Such a sucker for any fragrance from this designer… I have them all! A birthday gift which was much welcomed, this perfume is fresh, floral and smells like all the things I love about Spring. Click to Buy!
– Illamasqua Gleam in Aurora (RRP $28.00AUD) – My current go-to highlighter! I also did swatches and a FOTD using this product earlier in the month…or was it last month? Have a look anyway. Click to Buy!
– MAC Powder Blush in Well Dressed (RRP $41.00AUD) – Boy are we ripped off here! Looking at that RRP makes me wanna vomit. However this blush doesn’t, I disregarded this when I bought it thinking it wasn’t pigment and was just shit. Now i’m wearing it everyday, it puts just the right amount of colour on my cheeks to make me look alive and it goes with everything. Click to Buy!
– Eye of Horus Liquid Define Eye Liner (RRP $30.00AUD) – Another subscription box wonder! Absolutely loving this eye liner, it’s highly pigmented and lasts the entire day without the tiniest smudge. Also really easy to use and apply, even with my morning half asleep-ness it works! Click to Buy!
– Real Techniques Buffing Brush (Part of the Core Collection RRP $45.00AUD) – I need eleventy billion of this brush forever. LOVE! Just go out and try it and you will agree. Want to get it cheaper? Click to Buy! also use the code – VUL257 and you will receive a further discount. Shipping takes about 2 weeks to get to Australia but I had no issues with them.
– Face of Australia Sheer Lip Gloss Crayon in Macaron (Set of 3 RRP $14.95AUD) – I previously reviewed these here, but this has been my shade of the moment. Perfect YLBB! Click to Buy!
– Orly Nail Polish in Glow Stick (RRP $18.95AUD) – Check out my swatches here! . BEST NEON EVER! That i’ve tried anyway, I always get comments when I wear this shade and you can see why. Click to Buy!
One other thing I didn’t mention in my video and I was an idiot and threw away the packaging, I was also obsessed with EVO The Great Hydrator hair mask. I only had a sample from a beauty box but it changed my hair/life. I used it with every wash (not sure if your meant to) but it was brilliant… I need to order a full size asap! Click to Buy! (get one for me while your at it!)
Although it’s almost November, what were your favourite things in September?
Please note products marked with * were provided for my consideration, this does not effect my opinion and as always I am honest about what I am reviewing.
