Just a quick note before I get into this post, yesterday I decided to not post a Blogmas Day 15 post. As you may or may not know I live in Sydney, Australia and yesterday the entire city/country experienced a terrifying and horrific event that ended tragically early this morning. I felt it wasn’t the right thing to sit on here and do a blog post which in the scheme of things is so meaningless. My thoughts go out to all of those involved and the families and friends who lost a loved one.

Onto the post for today –

I’ve had my eye on the Stila Eyes Are The Window palettes for quite some time, and when Black Friday rolled around BeautyBay had an unmissable sale which ended with me picking up these 2 items for a pineapple ($50 if you’re not in Australia 🙂 ).

I ended up purchasing the Anatasia Brow Wiz in Taupe, which FYI lives up to the hype and then some. I also chose the Soul palette from the Eyes Are The Window range, mainly because it contains my favourite eyeshadow shade of all time “Kitten”. It also has a mix of matte and shimmer shades, where the other palettes looked they were either exclusively matte or shimmer. I’ve never tried Stila’s matte shades so i’ll be keen to see how they perform. Again, I was drawn to the packaging it is absolutely stunning cased in a 2 toned gold and rose gold compact with a huge mirror; it’s one of those compacts you want to get out in front of people because it is so beautiful.

The shades from the top are Light, Individual, Being, Kitten, Affection, Character, Thought, Heart, Peace, Vitality, Substance & Essence.

I haven’t had a chance to do any makeup looks with the palette yet so I can’t really comment on the wear of the shadows but I have used Stila shadows in the past and loved the formula. I noticed when I watched that the shade “Character” is a little sheer and has quite chunky glitter.  I also thought “Thought” lol swatched beautifully and can see this as one of those all over the lid, blend out, done shades. I did take a photo of my not great swatches for you as well.

You can pick up the Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette in Soul from Mecca Cosmetica for $68AUD or BeautyBay for $47.40AUD (at time of posting).

Anastasia Brow Wiz retails in Australia for $34.00AUD @ Sephora or again from BeautyBay for $19.50AUD (at time of posting).

Nope I’m not! Quickly head over to Mecca Cosmetica and pick up this gorgeous Stila palette for $90… no actually that’s what you’d expect to pay right? It’s really only $38!!!.

I honestly didn’t think I needed another palette in my life (except for you Urban Decay Naked Palette) but when I saw the insanely good price of this palette and the fact it was in my home country and not via some US online store I was sold, literally.

This is such a versatile palette with a range of colours which can make a combination of looks. I am obsessed with the burgandy colour it just makes my blue eyes pop. The quality is regular Stila quality which in my opinion is very good, pigmented easy to use shadows.

This is currently sold out online, but I have seen it in Mecca stores so check those out.

Apologies I didn’t take photos when I first got the palette but I’m too impatient to wait until I get good lighting to take photos, I have to use things right away.

It’s that time again, new products have been used for the month. Some oldies rediscovered so here are the products i’ve been enjoying this month.

So tomorrow i’m off to Splendour In The Grass. I might try and do a few quick iphone updates but let’s be honest i’ll be too busy seeing bands! Follow me on Twitter if you want updates during the festival

I will do a recap when I get home though for anyone who is interested of course.

Until then, have a wonderful weekend!

Another month has gone, which is unbelievable! This year is once again going way too fast for my liking, before we know it we’ll be Christmas shopping again!

However, another month going by means another favourites! I’ve got a few favourites this month actually, and one in particular that has become a HG (holy grail) item!

So lets get started….

Urban Decay Primer Potion… how did I live without you? I’ve had this product for a couple of months now, but really started using it a lot more in April because I was doing more eyeshadow looks. I’m sure you’ve heard the hype about this product, and it’s all true!

I was lucky enough that a friend picked this up for me overseas but I believe you can get it from www.crushcosmetics.com.au in Australia and also Ebay might also be an option?

April has also been the month where I got my first Ulta3 polish… it’s love I tell you 🙂 I’ve since bought quite a few bottles and will continue buying more. For the $2.50 price point these polishes are amazing! For an idea, i’m wearing a China Glaze polish at the moment (For Audrey) that I applied last night. I’ve already chipped one nail… one day in! My Ulta3 polishes however don’t start chipping until day 3 or 4! If your in Australia try and find these, you won’t be disappointed.

Benefit Sugarbomb & Stila Convertible Colour in Lillium

Why are these favourites and why have I put them together…. CHEEK GLOW!! These colours look amazing layered for a long lasting glowy cheek. First apply the Stila Lillium to your apples and then apply the Sugarbomb over the top…AAAAHHHMMMAAAAZZZINNNNG!! Try it and let me know if you love it as much as I do!

I have been waiting this whole month to talk about this product!! I don’t know why I didn’t just do it as a “loves…” product but anyway… here it is!

Covergirl Outlast Lipstain…. oh my god! Go and get it right now…seriously!

I bought the colour “Flirty Nude” and it is the best YLBB (Your Lips But Better) colour i’ve found yet. The tip is like a texta which is kinda fun, it smells fruity and it really does last. I put this on of a morning and it’s still going strong well after lunch. I do apply gloss throughout the day as well and it makes no difference, I still am rocking a Flirty Nude lip!

It’s also a really great price, I think I paid around $15 for it which is not bad at all.

Hope you enjoyed my favourites this month! Can’t wait to see what May brings 🙂
